Clwyd West MS Darren Millar has welcomed news that Cruse Bereavement Care North Wales, which is based in Clwyd West, have been awarded £10,000 National Lottery funding.
They were awarded the sum in August after successfully applying to The National Lottery Community Fund.
The funding will be used to implement changes to the delivery of their services due to Covid-19 by offering remote support to bereaved people. The grant will fund staff salary, telephone and rent.
Welcoming the news, Darren said:
“Cruse North Wales carry out excellent work offering bereavement support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies.
“Obviously they are unable to offer face to face support due to the pandemic so these additional funds will enable them to ensure that people throughout North Wales are still able to access their services.
“I congratulate them on their success and thank them for all they are doing to support people when they lose a loved one.”
