Clwyd West MS Darren Millar is encouraging groups in Conwy county to take advantage of new funding which is available thanks to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Community and Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC) are administering the Voluntary Sector Key Fund: a fund of £800,000 for third sector groups in Conwy, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
There are 2 types of grants available: Micro Fund: £500-£1999 and Main Fund: £2000-£60,000.
The Voluntary Sector Key Fund is aimed at projects in Conwy which will support the delivery of some of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund aims:
Impactful Volunteering and/or Social Action Projects
Capacity Building & Infrastructure Support for Local Groups
Community Engagement Schemes, Local Regeneration
Community Measures to Reduce the Cost of Living
Relevant Feasibility Studies
Keen to make groups aware of the funding, Darren said:
“The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a Government-allocated fund which is intended to reduce inequalities between communities, as part of the Government’s wider “levelling up” agenda.
“It is great that groups in Conwy have the opportunity to benefit from it through the Voluntary Sector Key Fund, and I encourage all groups who believe they fit the criteria to have an informal chat with a CVSC grants officer before filling in their application. For further information, please contact the CVSC grants team on [email protected] / 01492 523845.”
