Commenting on the news that NHS staff from the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board named in the Ernst & Young report are receiving one to one support, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for North Wales, Darren Millar MS said:
“While he Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has a duty of care to all of their employees, they ought to remember that they also have a duty of care to the public and patients.
“The people of North Wales are appalled at the lack of accountability to date for those responsible for the false accounting, falsification of documents, fraud, misconduct in public office and other unacceptable behaviour alleged in the Ernst & Young report.
“It has been almost six months since that report was published and yet not one person has yet been sacked or prosecuted for what has happened.
“The public deserve an update on the action taken to hold senior managers and executives to account.”
