Commenting on the news that a £122m fraud probe into Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has been dropped, Shadow Minister for North Wales, Darren Millar MS said:
“It's been some months since I asked for the Health Minister to put a copy of the Ernst and Young Report, which exposed financial irregularities at the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, into the public domain but she has failed to do so.
“The public has a right to know what has happened to taxpayers’ money and how it has been managed by failing managers at the health board.
“In the interest of transparency, I urge the Labour Government to publish this report to enable public scrutiny as soon as possible.
“It must not be swept under the carpet.”
