Clwyd West MS Darren Millar is making people with bright ideas to bring affordable, accessible and sustainable energy to their local communities aware of funding which is available to bring their ideas to life.
EfT (Energy for Tomorrow), a not-for-profit social impact scheme created by British Gas owner Centrica, has opened a scheme in Wales which could support organisations who have a bright idea to tackle climate change, lower energy bills and deliver a real impact to people and communities.
They are inviting grant applications to receive up to £100,000, plus expert support to bring the idea to life through their Energy for Tomorrow (EfT) fund.
Darren said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for big thinkers seeking to bring affordable, accessible and sustainable energy to their local communities.
“EfT backs innovation and aims to provide support to communities on their journey to net zero through grant funding as well as offering expertise from their network of volunteers within the business - on anything from sustainable energy measures to marketing and production.
“Supporting communities to deliver meaningful impact is crucial - especially during such challenging times. That’s why EfT are giving organisations, non profits, charities and social enterprises the tools and funding they need to make real change in their communities.”
Applications are now open – with a deadline of 4th November.
