Clwyd West MS Darren Millar has welcomed today’s news that projects in Conwy and Denbighshire are to receive a total of £5,185,625 from the UK Government’s Community Renewal Fund.
The Community Renewal Fund – announced by Secretary of State for Levelling Up Michael Gove MP today – will pilot new programmes that invest in people, boost skills and support local economies.
Projects in Denbighshire will receive a total of £2,890,209, whilst those in Conwy are set to receive £2,295,416.
Welcoming the news, Darren said:
“A total of £5,185,625 is an absolutely incredible investment in this part of North Wales and shows the UK Government’s commitment to levelling up our communities.
“There are some fantastic organisations and projects in both Conwy and Denbighshire and I am extremely pleased that so many of them have been successful in their bids for this funding.
“Communities are trying to get back on their feet and recover from the pandemic and this money will be instrumental in helping them to achieve that.”
