Clwyd West MS Darren Millar is calling on Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water to urgently address frequent interruptions to water supply in a Denbighshire village.
Residents of Gwyddelwern are desperate for a solution to the ongoing issues they are experiencing with either loss of water completely or extremely low water pressure.
Earlier this week the water went off completely, which was the ninth time this has happened this year.
Darren has now intervened by writing to Welsh Water urging them to address the issues as soon as possible.
He said:
“Welsh Water must act urgently to resolve matters. It is totally unacceptable that the village is facing such frequent interruption to its water supply.
“The residents are totally frustrated. They believe the problem tis down to burst pipes along the lines perhaps as far as Corwen. As Gwyddelwern is at the end of the line it seems to lose pressure.
“Access to a clean water supply is essential for life, public health and hygiene.
“It’s extraordinary that anywhere in 21st century Wales, a nation with such an abundance of water, should be having so many problems like this.”
