Welsh Conservative candidate for Clwyd West in this Thursday’s Senedd elections, Darren Millar, is calling for routine NHS dentistry to resume as soon as possible.
Darren has received numerous complaints from Conwy and Denbighshire residents who are desperate for routine NHS dental services to recommence.
He has therefore written to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to ask when this is likely to happen.
He said:
“Private dentistry is back up and running so there is no reason why routine NHS dentistry shouldn't recommence.
“NHS patients can not understand why these services are not available to them and I have received a great many complaints about the situation in recent weeks.
“I have therefore written to the Chairman of BCUHB Mark Polin to ask when the health board intends to get things back up and running.
“It seems ludicrous with so many people now vaccinated, that these routine services are still not available on the NHS.
"We need routine NHS dentistry restarted as soon as possible."
