Commenting after the narrow defeat of the Welsh Conservatives’ motion of no confidence in Labour’s Health Minister in Wales, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for North Wales, Darren Millar MS said:
“While the Minister may have the confidence of her fellow Labour Members of the Senedd, it is the confidence of the people of Wales that really matters.
“The accountability gap in the Welsh NHS must be addressed and we will continue to challenge the Minister and the Welsh Government to deliver the improvements that patients and staff deserve.
He added:
“The situation in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales is unacceptable and the poor judgment of the Minister has put patients there at risk. It was telling that not a single North Wales Labour MS stood up to defend her record.”
