Having recently donned his walking boots to take part in a walk to learn more about a new project aimed at helping people in Denbighshire enjoy walking and improve their local green spaces, Clwyd West MS Darren Millar is encouraging people to take part in the project’s latest walk in Ruthin this Saturday.
Ramblers Cymru ‘Paths to Wellbeing’ project was launched before Christmas and is working in two communities in Clwyd West: Pwll-glas and Graigfechan.
Darren joined the Ramblers Cymru for a walk in Pwllglas to learn more about the ‘Paths to Wellbeing project’ and is now encouraging people to do the same this Saturday when there will be a free guided walk in Eyarth Rocks, Ruthin, from 10.30am until 12pm.
He said:
“I thoroughly enjoyed getting out in the great outdoors with Rambler’s Cymru to find out more about the ‘Paths to Wellbeing’ project.
“We are extremely fortunate here in Clwyd West to have some truly spectacular walks with breath-taking views and I am delighted that Pwll-glas and Graigfechan were selected before Christmas to be part of the ‘Paths to Wellbeing’ programme, which enables local people to learn new skills to help make their community greener and more accessible to all.
“Ramblers Cymru have been holding walks to enable people to find out more about the project, with their latest set to take place this Saturday in Eyarth Rocks, meeting at Siop Pwll Glas in Ruthin. Those interested in taking part should contact North east Wales Paths to Wellbeing Project Officer, Heather Martin at [email protected].
“Having completed the walk myself, I can guarantee that those who take part won’t regret it.”
