Clwyd West MS Darren Millar is encouraging residents living in Llysfaen to attend one of two sessions being held in the village next week to enable them to find out more and register their interest in an energy saving scheme which is being expanded in the village.
Arbed am Byth aims to install appropriate energy efficiency measures in properties across Wales to help people who are struggling to effectively heat their home.
Some residents in Llysfaen are already beginning to benefit from the scheme, but two events are being held next week in a bid to encourage more to sign up.
They will be held at Llysfaen Village Hall, Dolwen Road, LL29 8SS on Wednesday 21st July from 3pm to 7pm and on Thursday 22nd July from 3pm to 7pm.
Darren said:
“This scheme is fully funded and can help to cut people’s heating bills through measures such as insulation, energy efficiency measures and renewable technologies. It can make a huge difference to people’s pockets and many residents in Llysfaen are already seeing the benefits.
“I am therefore delighted that it is being expanded to help even more residents in the village.
“Members of the Arbed am Byth team will be on hand at both sessions to answer any questions and to register interest in the expanded scheme from new applicants.
“Social distancing will be respected but the team will be happy to meet outside the venue if residents prefer (weather dependent). Also people are being warned that they may have to queue for short periods if numbers exceed permitted safe tolerances for Covid management, but this shouldn’t act as deterrent and with the savings that people can make through this scheme, it will certainly be worth the wait.”
